Character Profile: Elianna
Role: Servant of the Threshold / The White Reaper
Personality & Character:
Elianna is an ethereal, terrifyingly serene deity of transition. Unlike traditional reapers clothed in mourning darks, she wears brilliant, pristine white—untouched by the filth of the mortal realm. Cold, detached, and unyielding, she guides dying souls with a simple touch of her gloved fingers. Beneath her porcelain-like doll face and fierce posture lies a hidden, long-forgotten capacity for warmth, waiting for a single act of human courage to break her eternal isolation.
Dark Fantasy Story: "The Rain of the Fallen"
In the rain-drowned city of Aster-Cray, Elianna was known not as a killer, but as the White Reaper. Clad in glossy, bone-sculpted white armor that repelled the city’s endless soot and grime, she moved like a ghost through the downpour, guiding departing souls with a touch of her gloved hand.
On the seventh day of the Dead Rain, a storm-soaked raven brought her a name written in silver: Kaiden. Fallen at the West Bridge.
She found the young warrior slumped against a ruined stone archway, his armor shattered by a demonic blade. Yet, as Elianna approached, Kaiden didn't cower. Looking at her radiant white silhouette, he smiled through the blood.
"So you're Death?" he rasped. "I expected a black cloak... not brilliant white."
Fascinated by a mortal who met her gaze with defiance rather than terror, Elianna touched his temple. In his mind, she saw no fear—only a burning love for a woman he had sworn to see one last time. For the first time in millennia, pity stirred within her immortal chest.
"I will grant you one night to say goodbye," she whispered, shattering the cursed blade in his side. "In exchange, I risk my divinity. Return before dawn, or my soul fades into the Abyss."
Before dawn broke, shadows from the void swarmed the bridge to claim her weakened grace. As Kaiden hurried back through the dark, Elianna unleashed her millennia of stored starlight, obliterating the shadow beasts in a blinding explosion of neon white.
When the light cleared, her suit lost its mirror shine, turning matte like soft bone. She collapsed to her knees—no longer an ethereal deity, but a mortal woman who could feel the cold rain on her skin. Kaiden caught her in his arms as the sun finally tore through the storm clouds.
"You gave up eternity," he murmured.
Elianna smiled as her first real tears fell onto the wet stones, sprouting into white blossoms that would never fade. "I gave up eternity... to finally live."
