Others dwell far beneath the surface.

Ancient beings born before the rise of civilization sleep beneath mountains and volcanic fields, surrounded by rivers of magma and the living forces of the planet. They do not feed on human souls.

They feed on the planet itself.

On magma.

On geothermal energy.

On the primordial power buried deep beneath the world.

And above the clouds, beyond the highest mountains, exist the newest gods.

Beings of light, energy, and cosmic power.

They no longer need human souls.

They have learned to draw their strength from the sun, from storms, from wind, from electromagnetic forces, and from the endless energy of the cosmos.

They believe they are the future.

They believe the ancient gods are parasites.

And they believe the civilizations of mortals have become too violent, too corrupt, too consumed by war and desire to be allowed to continue unchanged.

From the heavens descend the Nephilim — colossal warriors and scouts sent to observe the world below.

Behind them stand the Archangels, servants and enforcers of a higher divine order.

And above them all waits the Supreme New God — a being whose power may come not from souls, but from the very forces that illuminate the universe.

But the ancient gods refuse to surrender their dominion.

They fight to preserve a world that has belonged to them for ages beyond memory.

Among them is Ish-Kina — beautiful, immortal, powerful, and dangerous.

She knows the truth about the world.

She knows where the gods came from.

She knows what the Black Eclipse really means.

And she knows something else:

Humanity has no idea what is coming.

Then there is Itzan.

A mortal warrior who was never supposed to become part of the divine struggle.

A man who wanted only to save his people.

A man who crossed the threshold between human and god.

A man who discovered that love can become a weapon…

that immortality always demands a price…

and that the gods may have chosen him for a purpose greater than he can imagine.

His journey will take him from ancient cities to forgotten kingdoms, from the surface of the world into underground realms of the dead, and eventually toward the kingdoms of the gods themselves.

Along the way he will encounter forbidden magic, ancient beings, celestial warriors, lost civilizations, betrayal, desire, and powers that existed long before humanity.

And somewhere beneath the world waits Aida, goddess of the underworld.

She knows secrets even Ish-Kina refuses to reveal.

She has her own purpose.

And when their paths cross, Itzan will discover that even his strongest feelings may have been part of a much older plan.
