The Golden Venom

The Queen did not flinch. She felt the leviathan's cool, damp tendrils coil around her legs, a possessive and terrifying caress that sought to bind her to its will.

Valoria met the creature's gaze, her eyes reflecting its cold, alien intelligence. A slow, knowing smile touched her red lips. The gold upon her chest throbbed in unison with the leviathan’s heartbeat. She was not its prisoner; she was its vessel, its consort, its golden venom that would seep into the world above. She raised a hand, her sharp, crimson-tipped nails gleaming, and a single golden tendril from her corset rose to intertwine with the greater shadow. The pact was sealed.
